Amateur Licence Classes & Exams - Foundation, Standard & Advanced Theory & Regulations

The Foundation licence is a quick way to get on air for those without any previous experience in radio or electronics. The club runs training sessions for this licence quarterly subject to demand. Each session occupies a single weekend and results in successfully assessed attendees being able to apply for their licence immediately. The club is now able to offer a limited number of scholarships valued at up to $250 to enable young Australian citizens under 25 not in full time employment to obtain their first licence and be supplied with a radio at no cost. Benefits include a Free Course at Rose Bay, Licence Application fee, 1st year's licence paid, VHF/UHF handheld, Free 1st year membership of our society. Funding has been provided by the sale of radio equipment from the estate of the late Colin Marks, VK2LV. An email application form is available
